What to mask
Redact a document
Upload a file - the shield masks every piece of personal data using your workspace coverage and hands it back with the PII removed, then you upload the clean copy to any AI. Your file never leaves this request and no raw PII is stored.
Format-preserving: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text/CSV/JSON/code return as the same file with PII redacted, formatting untouched. PDFs, scanned pages and images/photos are redacted in place - the personal data is covered and truly removed - using OCR.

Claude Code - install the plugin. Redaction runs on your machine, so your claude.ai login never leaves it.
In Claude Code, run /pii-shield:status anytime to see your monthly usage and pay-as-you-go credits. It redacts text (file reads, command output, MCP results); images pass through untouched - redact those with the Documents tab first. Restart Claude Code after installing so the hooks activate.
